Phase 2 Food List

 

hCG foods listed below are the ONLY foods allowed on P2. We follow Dr. Simeons' hCG food list. He worked with the hCG Protocol for twenty years so we do not change the hCG foods included in his original hCG manuscript.

 

I will * the foods that have been added to the original protocol.

 

hCG Protein Options:

  • Veal

  • Lean beef (such as filet mignon, sirloin steaks, extra lean ground beef)

  • Chicken breast (must be boneless, skinless chicken breast with all fat removed)

  • Fresh white fish (such as pollock, tilapia)

  • Lobster

  • Crab (must be a fresh crab, no imitation crab allowed)

  • Shrimp

  • 2% Cottage Cheese (Daisy brand preferred) 1/2 cup

  • 1 Whole egg and 3 additional egg whites 

  • All hCG meats must be weighed to 3.5 oz/100g.

  • They should be weighed raw and have all visible fat trimmed.

  • It is important to cook the meat using no butter, oil, or any other form of fat (ie boil, grill, bake, use non-stick cookware, etc.).

 

hCG Vegetable Options:

  • Spinach 2 cups

  • Chard 2 cups

  • Chicory 1 cup

  • Beet-greens 2 cups

  • Green Lettuce (such as iceberg, romaine, bibb, Boston) 2 cups

  • Celery 2 cups

  • Fennel 1.5 cups

  • Onions 1 cup

  • Red radishes 2 cups

  • Tomatoes (certain brands of tomato sauce are allowed on hCG, be sure there are no added sugar in the ingredient list) 1 cup

  • Cucumbers 2 cups

  • Asparagus 2 cups

  • Cabbage 2 cups

  • The vegetables on the hCG diet may be eaten raw or cooked.

  • If you choose to cook your hCG veggies, remember you must do so without using any butter, oil, or any other form of fat.

  • You can steam, bake, or sauté in a non-stick pan. 

  • You can not mix vegetables on the hCG diet, for instance, you can not have 1 cup lettuce topped with a few tomatoes and cucumbers. Only one type of vegetable is allowed per meal.

 

hCG Carb Option:

  • 2 Grissini Stick

  • 1 Melba Toast

    • Flavors allowed: original, sea salt, roasted garlic, whole grain

 

hCG Fruit Option:

  • 1 Apple

  • 1 Orange

  • 1/2 Grapefruit

  • 1 handful of Strawberries (Usually 7 - 10 medium strawberries)
