Phase 2 Day 1

Today is the first day of Phase 2 VLCD (very low calorie diet). Loading was successful. I gained 4.6 pounds and felt horrible. It is interesting how your body feels when you are used to clean foods and you eat a bunch of sugar and processed foods. I felt icky. I am so excited to be working towards my goal.

I hope to share how I feel and what I eat over the next 21 days.

Today I feel satisfied for the most part. I was a little hungry early in the day, I think because I had eaten so much over the weekend that my tummy was stretched. It was tummy grumbling hunger and not real physical hunger.

What is happening inside my body that makes me not hungry, Simply put, HCG helps dieters lose weight by metabolizing the body’s stored fat during the dieting process. This not only keeps you energized while on a very low calorie diet, but it also helps you lose inches faster than with diet and exercise alone.

Since eating lunch (1/2 cup of cottage cheese and 1 cup of cherry tomatoes) I have been satisfied the rest of the day. I can feel when my blood sugar starts to drop and I know to eat a snack (grissini stick) and soon my daily (apple) I also start each morning out with a drink that helps hold off hunger and helps with detoxing. I make a cup of green tea, mix it with juice from a lemon, a shot of apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, all spice, turmeric and a packet of stevia. Tonight I plan on having taco salad with 3.5 ounces of lean ground beef, 2 cups red leaf lettuce and no sugar salsa for dressing. I end every night with a cup of slices strawberries with stevia sprinkled on top. I will report my loss tomorrow.
