Post Loading Detox

You are so excited to start your hCG round. You have been dreaming of dropping pounds and wearing new smaller clothes. You did your best to follow instructions and Load correctly, you ate lots of foods that you are going to miss and you felt STUFFED. Now it is time to LET THE LOSING BEGIN but it's day 2 of Phase 2, the 500 calorie a day phase and you feel horrible, almost like you have the flu. This is enough to make you quit but JUST HOLD ON. DON'T GIVE UP this is normal, this is what is called Post Loading Detox.

Post loading detox, can be experienced often follow the commencement of loading in the hCG Protocol. It happens because of the sudden and drastic removal of carbs and sugars from your diet.

One of the major reasons you get this is because of insufficient electrolytes in your diet. These electrolytes include calcium, sodium, potassium, and magnesium. You can purchase some electrolytes to make this process easier HERE.

When you made the switch, you also cut down on the richest electrolyte sources, such as starchy fruits and vegetables, which may result in the different symptoms you experience. Don’t be scared away! Symptoms vary from person to person and the detox usually doesn’t last longer than a week for the average person. But it can also last from two to four weeks in some individuals.

How long the detox will last often depends on some factors. For instance, if your diet has always been high in processed foods and refined sugar, it’s more likely you’ll experience more severe symptoms. Symptoms can also depend on the genetic makeup of the individual as some people tend to be more metabolically flexible, making it easier for them to shift between diets.

Detox symptoms may be very undesirable, yet it’s worth making that transition in the end. Don’t allow it to stop you from getting all the health benefits from the hCG Protocol.


  • Headaches

  • Dizziness

  • Sugar cravings

  • Difficulty falling asleep

  • Nausea

  • Upset Stomach

  • Brain fog

  • Cramping

  • Fatigue


  • Take a OTC pain killers/Anti-inflammatory meds for headaches

  • Drink a lot of water

  • Add lemon to your water

  • Take an electrolyte supplement

  • Take a detox bath (1 cup Epsom salt, 1 cup pink Himalayan salt, 1 cup baking soda in a very hot bath, soak for as long as you can stand it.)

Just remember that this is temporary and you will be feeling great in just a few days. Focus on your weight loss and dreaming about your future lighter self and all the things you will be able to do once you have lost your weight. Take care of yourself, rest when you can.
